Matt Martin Dealing With Injury

According to Andrew Gross, New York Islanders forward Matt Martin has an ankle injury and is skating by himself at camp. In the meantime, Richard Pánik is playing with the fourth-line.
Once Martin is healed, there is no question that he will immediately be back with Casey Cizikas and Cal Clutterbuck again. These three work very well together and make up one of the top fourth-lines in the entire NHL.

In 54 games this past season, Martin scored six goals and recorded 11 points. The very tenacious winger also constantly threw his body around, as evidenced by his 181 hits. This element of Martin's game is what allows him to succeed in this league.

We will have to wait and see about the severity of his injury, but it's definitely a good sign that he is skating.
