Nathan Gerbe Out For The Columbus Blue Jackets
Nathan Gerbe of the Columbus Blue Jackets will be out for four to six months after having hip surgery.
Gerbe also posted a picture of him at the hospital on his Twitter account.
At this stage of his career, Gerbe is more of a fringe-NHLer, but his presence will be missed in both locker rooms. This past season, he scored a goal and had three points in nine games. He also suited up in 13 games for the Cleveland Monsters, where he had four goals and 10 points. He has been a nice veteran between their NHL and AHL squad over the last four seasons. Here's to hoping he recovers well and is able to return before the end of the season.Obstacles are neither good or bad. Like a cup is neither good or bad. It is hard not to root for the NHL's shortest player, especially when noting his very hard work ethic.
