New York Islanders Likely To Sign Depth Defenseman
The New York Islanders reportedly have signed another player they have yet to officially announce. Defenseman Paul LaDue is expected to be heading there, according to Brad Elliott Schlossman.
LaDue spent last season with the Washington Capitals organization, but did not suit up in a single NHL game. Instead, he went on to play with the Hershey Bears and was an alternate captain. In 18 games, he scored three goals and recorded eight points. He also spent time on their taxi squad as well. The Islanders haven't been announcing their signings, but former UND defenseman Paul LaDue is headed there, too. https://t.co/1iICwf6U8O

LaDue spent the majority of the 2019-20 in the AHL as well. In 48 games with Ontario Reign, he scored nine goals and had 27 points. He also suited up in two games with the Los Angeles and had an assist.
In 69 career games, all with the Kings, LaDue has five goals, 13 assists and 18 points. Overall, he will be a depth option for the Islanders and could play in the minors.
