In 22 games last season with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Wilde scored three goals and had six assists. In his first professional season with the team in 2019-20, he had two assists in 20 games.#Isles Transaction: Defenseman Bode Wilde has been loaned to Vasterviks IK (Sweden).

In his two previous seasons with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL, he was a point-per-game player. Thus, he seemed like a potential steal when the Islanders drafted him 41st overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Now, in 2021, he isn't even going to be playing within their organization.
Wilde will be looking to have a big year in Sweden and continue to develop in the right direction.
