Ottawa Senators Sign Tyler Ennis To Professional Tryout Contract
The Ottawa Senators have signed veteran forward Tyler Ennis to a professional tryout contract.
Ennis previously played with the Senators during the 2019-20 season. In 61 games, he scored 14 goals and recorded 33 points. He would end up being traded to the Edmonton Oilers and finished the year there.
Ennis also spent last season with the Oilers, too. In 30 games, his production went down rather noticeably, as he had just three goals and nine points. However, with Ennis having so much success in Ottawa, perhaps he could be a bigger contributor again if he's able to secure himself a deal.
In 643 career games between the Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Senators and Oilers, Ennis has 136 goals, 186 assists and 322 points. Here's to hoping the 31-year-old can add these totals and gets signed once again by the Senators.
