Philadelphia Flyers Sign Joel Farabee To Extension
The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Joel Farabee to a six-year, $30 million extension. It will have an average annual value of $5 million and starts during the 2022-23 season.
Farabee had a fantastic season this past year and showed that he is a true top-six forward in this league. In 55 games, the 21-year-old winger led the team in goals with 20 and recorded 38 total points. Keep in mind, this was just his second NHL season, so he should only continue to get better from here.$5M AAV for Farabee https://t.co/3hJUMZEfWl

The Flyers drafted Farabee 14th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. It's safe to say that they do not regret that pick in the slightest. He's been an excellent fit in Philadelphia.
It will be fun to see how Farabee performs in his third NHL season. When seeing how well he played this past one, fans should certainly possess a lot of optimism with him. It's great that they are keeping him around for the long-term, especially at that affordable price.
