Red Wings Bertuzzi Won't Play Canadian Road Games
NHL training camps opened on Wednesday and news out of Detroit has Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi not being vaccinated and because this is the case, Bertuzzi will not be in the lineup for away games in Canada, as he won't be allowed in the country.
Red Wings Steve Yzerman says Tyler Bertuzzi has declined to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Will be at camp, following guidelines, but anticipation is he will not travel to games in Canada.

Last season Bertuzzi posted seven points in nine games and was rewarded with a two-year contract, paying him $4.75 million per season. There was a ton of talk about him being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs and that would have certainly been an interesting deal considering how things have now played out.
Yzerman said Tyler Bertuzzi only player who has chosen not to be vaccinated. Will be at camp. Can't enter Canada. Yzerman said they're not in a position to force anyone to get vaccinated. Respects fact he has a choice. #RedWings

Bertuzzi becomes the first regular or top-six forward if you will, who will not be in the team's lineup because of health protocols. Expect this story to develop over time and we will certainly be on top of the news. For now, training camp opens in Motown and they will have one less player when they head north to Canada.
