Rumor: Multiple Teams To Have New Third Jerseys

According to icethetics, the Los Angeles Kings, New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins are rumored to have new third jerseys this season.

Over the last few seasons, the Devils used their original white jerseys as their alternates. Perhaps we could see them promote their 2021 Reverse Retro jersey to alternates. Some fans have also wanted to see a black version of their jersey, so that could also be an interesting choice.

The Los Angeles Kings have a fantastic jersey history, so if they brought back of their previous ones, it would be accepted throughout the hockey world. Their 2021 Reverse Retro would be a cool one to see permanently. They also could use that same logo, but with its original black and grey colors. Their jerseys from the late 90s and 2000s could also work.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have a lot of potential options from their past as well. They could use the original colors they had during the beginning of the Sidney Crosby era. They also could bring back the penguin they used during the 90s and early 2000s. A blue jersey could be fun again. Also, I wouldn't count out their 2021 Reverse Retro jersey, either. What's interesting about their potential alternate change is that they wore them during this past postseason.

We will have to wait and see what alternates these teams use next season. It's always fun to see change.
