San Jose Sharks To Terminate Another Young Forward's Contract
The San Jose Sharks have placed forward Vladislav Kotkov on unconditional waivers and will be terminating his contract.
Kotkov spent last season with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. In 16 games with the team, the 21-year-old scored nine goals and recorded 19 points. In five playoff contests with the team, he also had four assists.#Sharks place Vladislav Kotkov on Unconditional Waivers for the purpose of contract termination.

Kotkov had 2 years remaining on his Entry Level contract which he signed back on July 6, 2018. https://t.co/yXpySQnbZ9
Kotkov suited up for one playoff game with the San Jose Barracuda this past season, but was held off the scoresheet. During the 2018-19 season, he also played a regular season with the Barracuda and scored a goal.
Kotkov has two years left remaining on his deal, but he will not be finishing them with the team. The 6'4", 209 pound winger may be able to have a strong career elsewhere, as he had success in juniors. It would not be surprising to see him go to the KHL like Ivan Chekhovich did when his contract was terminated by the Sharks earlier this summer.
