Seattle Kraken Set NHL Record
The Seattle Kraken have not wasted any time entering the NHL record books as the team launched their jersey sales and it was an overwhelming success.
The Kraken set a league record for most sales of a newly released jersey in its first five days of availability. The previous record was held by the Vegas Golden Knights back in 2017. While the Golden Knights may have created quite the buzz on the Vegas Strip, the Kraken are smashing all their marks and it's not even close. They continue to blow by the Golden Knights when it comes to pre-season sales.
So far most of the Kraken jerseys sold include Philipp Grubauer, Brandon Tanev, Jamie Oleksiak and Jordan Eberle. Makes sense considering the core of their team and who is from the area.
Look for the Kraken to hit the ice on October 12, when they drop the puck on their inaugural season.
