Seattle Kraken Sign Dennis Cholowski
The Seattle Kraken have signed Dennis Cholowski to a one-year, two-way contract. It will carry a $900,000 cap hit at the NHL level.
The Kraken selected Cholowski from the Detroit Red Wings at the Expansion Draft. He's an intriguing player for them, as he was a first-round pick during the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. However, he has struggled to cement himself as a legitimate NHLer at this point. With him still being just 23 years old, perhaps there is hope he can turn it around on a brand new team.I N K E D ✍️

In 16 games last season, he scored a goal and recorded three points with Detroit. He also suited up with the Grand Rapid Griffins in 13 games. With them, he had three goals and 10 points. It would be great for Seattle if he can translate his offensive success from the AHL to the NHL. With their depth on defense, he has a lot going against him making the team, though.
In 104 games with Detroit, Chowlowski had 10 goals, 17 assists and 27 points.
