Seattle Kraken Sign Riley Sheahan
The Seattle Kraken have signed forward Riley Sheahan to a one-year, $850,000 contract. This is another depth signing for the NHL's newest team.
In 53 games last season with the Buffalo Sabres, Sheahan scored four goals and recorded 13 points. He will be competing for a spot in Seattle's bottom-six this upcoming season. During the 2017-18 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, he scored 11 goals and had 32 points in 73 games. Although the chance of him producing offense at that level again is very low, it is possible that he sees a bit of an increase from last season. The #SeaKraken squad continues to get bigger!

In 566 career games between the Detroit Red Wings, Penguins, Edmonton Oilers and Sabres, Sheahan has 70 goals, 107 assists and 177 points. With all of this experience, he should be able to be a leader in the locker room and mentor their younger players.
On a side note, for those of you looking for a new podcast to listen to, Sheahan has a new one that focuses on mental health. It's called "Speak Your Mind with NHL's Riley Sheahan" and is certainly worth listening to.
