Sidney Crosby Out After Wrist Surgery
After receiving wrist surgery, Sidney Crosby will be out of action for a minimum of six weeks. As a result of this, he will be missing the first week of the regular season.
Although it is always disappointing when Crosby is out of the lineup, Pittsburgh fans should breathe a sign of relief that it will be for only a little time. It could have been far worse, but the recovery is a lot shorter than than it honestly could have been.According to #pens, Crosby will miss the first week of the regular season or so after undergoing wrist surgery. https://t.co/rPDuxJQP0M

Crosby is heading into his 17th NHL season with the Penguins and has yet to show any signs of regression. In 55 games this past season, he scored 24 goals and recorded 62 total points. Expect to see similar production from him once he is healthy and ready to go.
In 1,039 career games thus far, the future Hockey Hall of Famer has 489 goals, 839 assists and 1,325 points to go along with three Stanley Cups. Will we see a fourth this season?
