St. Louis Blues Sign Colton Parayko To Big Extension
The St. Louis Blues have signed Colton Parayko to an eight-year, $52 million contract. It will have an average annual value of $6.5 million and will start during the 2022-23 season.
With the Blues losing Alex Pietrangelo last season, it was important for them to extend Parayko. They did a good job getting on this task early, as Parayko would have had the chance to be an unrestricted free agent next summer.BREAKING NEWS! In 32 games this past season with the Blues, he scored two goals and recorded 12 points. Although it was a bit of a down year for him offensively, his physical presence and reliable defensive play makes this a good contract for St. Louis. He is the type of big defenseman that every team loves to possess.
Over six seasons with the Blues, Parayko has played in 418 games. In them, he has 41 goals, 130 assists and 171 points.
Now, Parayko will be a part of the Blues for the long-term, which is great news for St. Louis fans.
