Team USA Announces Assistant Coaches For 2022 Winter Olympics
The assistant coaches for Team USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics have been announced. John Hynes, David Quinn, Todd Reirden and recently retired Ryan Miller will be taking on the roles.
Hynes is currently the head coach of the Nashville Predators. He previously held the same role with the New Jersey Devils from 2015 to December of 2019. He also has worked with USA hockey, as he was the head coach of the country's National Team Development Program for six seasons.Team USA announces assistants for head coach Mike Sullivan in #Beijing2022 will be: John Hynes, David Quinn, Todd Reirden and Ryan Miller.

Quinn was recently fired by the New York Rangers after being their head coach for three seasons. Before working with the Rangers, he was head coach of Boston University for five seasons.
Reirden is currently an assistant coach of the Penguins, so it is not too surprising that Sullivan wants to work with him internationally. He also worked as head coach of the Washington Capitals for two years, but was fired after the 2019-20 season.
Miller is the most intriguing of the names, as he recently just finished his NHL career. Miller holds the record for most wins by a US born goaltender with 387. He also played for Team USA during the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, where he also holds the record for the best career goals against average at 1.30. Miller working with Team USA could lead him to land other coaching jobs later down the line.
The 2022 Winter Olympics are scheduled to start on February 4th. We cannot wait for it to come!
