The Winter Classic Has A New Sponsor

Since 2009, the NHL Winter Classic has been sponsored by Bridgestone. However, with the NHL moving from NBC to Turner Sports, Discover will be the new title sponsor, according to Sean Shapiro. Thus, the yearly game will now be known as the Discover Winter Classic.

Some NHL biz news: Discover is taking over as the new title sponsor for the Winter Classic as it moves from NBC to Turner Sports. No longer the Bridgestone Winter Classic, but the Discover Winter Classic moving forward.

The NHL will be holding its next Winter Classic on January 1, 2022. The St. Louis Blues will be visiting the Minnesota Wild at Target Field. The game will be televised on TNT and will be fun to watch.

This will be the first game known as the Discover Winter Classic, and it will take some time to get used to saying. Bridgestone was associated with the Winter Classic for over a decade.
