Update on Brady Tkachuk/Ottawa Senators Saga
Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk continues to sit without a contract as training camp is fast approaching. Reports have surfaced suggesting Tkachuk will not be reporting to Ottawa without a contract, so management will need to get off their wallets if they want Tkachuk back with the group.
Update on Tkachuk.

I'm told he won't be coming to Ottawa until a deal gets done. No updates on contract talks over the weekend. So let's see if real progress has been made after my tweet last week.
While the talks are reportedly progressing, there's been some discussing about an "8x8" deal, or a bridge contract of three years at around $6.5 million. Tkachuk is one of the young stars in the league who is soon-to-be only 22 years old. He's already appeared in 198 NHL games, recording 60 goals and 125 points and 250 penalty minutes.
Expect the two sides to at some point agree on a deal. Tkachuk is a huge piece of the franchise and right now both sides appear to be playing some hard ball. That should change as we creep closer to the opening of training camp.
