Vancouver Canucks Sign Alex Chiasson To PTO
The Vancouver Canucks have signed Alex Chiasson to a professional tryout contract.
In 45 games this past season with the Edmonton Oilers, Chiasson scored nine goals and recorded 16 points. When utilized in a bottom-six role, Chiasson can be a useful player to have. He provides decent depth scoring and comes with size. During the 2018-19 season with the Oilers, he also scored 22 goals and had 38 points in 73 games. Therefore, he can put the puck in the net.Alex Chiasson has signed a PTO with the Canucks.

The Canucks have two important players to re-sign in Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes, so that may hold up any potential Chiasson contract for the season. However, at a minimum, this is a good opportunity for the 30-year-old winger to prove that he deserves to stay in the NHL.
