Vegas Golden Knights Sign Defenseman To PTO

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenseman Ian McCoshen to a professional tryout contract.

McCoshen last played in the NHL during the 2018-19 season. In 19 games with the Florida Panthers that year, he scored a goal and had an assist. He also played 38 games with the Panthers during the previous season, where he had three goals and an assist.

Since then, McCoshen has been playing in the AHL. In 11 games this past season with the Iowa Wild, he had four assists. When looking at Vegas' roster, there's a good chance that he would play for the Henderson Silver Knights if he ends up getting signed for the season.

Overall, he could be a solid veteran presence for the AHL squad. The 26-year-old defenseman plays a very hard game and can produce a bit offensively.

We will have to see if McCoshen is able to secure himself a job with the team.
