Vegas Golden Knights Sign Nolan Patrick

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Nolan Patrick to a two-year contract. It will have an average annual value of $1.2 million.

Earlier this off-season, Patrick and Phillipe Myers were traded by the Philadelphia Flyers to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Ryan Ellis. Patrick would then immediately be traded to the Golden Knights, with Cody Glass going the other way.

In 52 games this past season, Patrick scored four goals and had nine points. He also had a notable -30 rating. The former second overall pick also missed the entirety of the 2019-20 season due to a migraine disorder, so he's had a rough go of things these last two years.

However, with a change of scenery, there is reason for optimism heading into the season. Patrick had 30 and 31 points in his first two seasons in the league, so he does have the potential to produce points. Keep in mind, he also is still 23 years old, so he can still progress as a player. With Vegas not having the deepest center depth, he will be given chances to thrive.

Nonetheless, it will be intriguing to see if Patrick is able to bounce back this season. Vegas seems to have hope in him, as they did sign him for multiple years.
