Last night, Seattle Kraken defenseman Mark Giordano played against his former team, the Calgary Flames. During it, he scored a goal, which led fans at the Saddledome to cheer his name.
Although it was just a preseason game, there was a lot of excitement for Giordano's return to Calgary. Before being claimed by the Kraken at the Expansion Draft, he spent all 15 of his NHL seasons with the Flames. He also of course was their captain for his last eight campaigns there.GIORDANO SCORES!

In 949 games with the Flames, Giordano had 143 goals, 366 assists and 509 points. He also won the Norris Trophy during the 2018-19 season after recording 74 points in 78 games.
With the Kraken and Flames being in the same division, they will play each other multiple times during the regular season. Thus, Calgary fans will continue to see more of their former captain.
