2 Pittsburgh Penguins Out Due to COVID Protocol

The Pittsburgh Penguins had a couple of big names absent from Thursday's practice and now we know why. Both goaltender Tristan Jarry and center Jeff Carter have entered the NHL's COVID protocol, and early reports are both players are positive.

The Penguins join the Winnipeg Jets as another team dealing with COVID protocol issues to some of their best players. So far this season, Pittsburgh is off to a 2-0-2 start and a lot of their strong play has to do with Jarry and Carter specifically.

Jarry has posted a 2-0-1 record with a 1.62 GAA and a .935 save %. Meanwhile Carter has four points in his first four games this season.

We'll have to wait and see how long both players are out, or if Jarry even misses any game action. Both players will be tested again numerous times before their next game action and let's hope Carter gets through the virus with ease.
