A Bunch Of NHL Players Placed On Waivers Again Today

Teams who are looking to add a bit of depth to their rosters now have many more players for the taking. A total of 25 players were placed on waivers today, as reported by Chris Johnston.
There are a few players who truly stand out and could end up being claimed by other teams.

Kale Clague from the Los Angeles Kings is an intriguing option. The 23-year-old defenseman recorded six points in 18 games last season with the Kings. He has consistently provided solid offensive totals with the Ontario Reign for three seasons straight and is a former second-round pick. Perhaps a team weak on the left side could elect to give him a shot. He still has the potential to be a solid NHL defenseman. Martin Frk is also an interesting winger who is known for having a very hard shot.

Due to Seattle's immense depth on the backend, it's not that surprising to see Cale Fleury on waivers, but it's still noteworthy. He is still just 22 years old and has the tools to be an effective two-way defenseman in this league. He last played in the NHL during the 2019-20 season with the Montreal Canadiens and had an assist. Connor Carrick is also a veteran defenseman who teams could consider claiming if they want a seventh defenseman for the NHL squad.

Lucas Johansen of the Washington Capitals was selected by the team 28th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He has yet to take that next step and the Caps could end up losing a former first-rounder for nothing if a team is willing to take a shot on him.

We will have to wait and see if any of these 25 skaters get claimed!
