An Update On Mark Stone's Injury
After getting injured and leaving the game early against the Los Angeles Kings, Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone is thankfully not expected to miss much time. According to head coach Pete DeBoer, Stone is only out day-to-day and is still being evaluated.
Updates from Pete DeBoer:
— Vegas Golden Knights (@GoldenKnights) October 16, 2021
- Max Pacioretty is out week-to-week
- Mark Stone is out day-to-day and is being evaluated
- Nicolas Roy, Brett Howden and Will Carrier are skating and hope to be back in practice Monday
- Mattias Janmark remains in COVID-19 protocol #VegasBorn
It already has been established that Max Pacioretty is going to miss the next six weeks for the Golden Knights, so they needed Stone's injury not to be serious. Thankfully, it's a minor one and he will be back shortly.
Vegas suffered some injuries during Thursday’s loss to LA. Hearing Max Pacioretty out approximately 6 weeks, while Golden Knights await further clarity on Mark Stone. Tough early-season blow.

Had Stone's injury been more severe, the Golden Knights would have been without two of their top forwards. That would have been a serious blow for the start of their season. Although losing Pacioretty is still bad, it could have been a lot worse.
In two games so far this season, Stone already has three assists. That's a very good start for the captain.
