Anaheim Ducks Forward Out 4-6 Months
The Anaheim Ducks announced forward Max Jones is going to be out for the long term as he tore his pectoral muscle. Expectation is surgery next week and then rehab for roughly 4-6 months.
Anaheim Ducks forward Max Jones has been diagnosed with a pectoralis major tendon tear. He will have surgery next Wednesday and is expected to miss 4-6 months. #FlyTogether

Ducks general manager Bob Murray met with the media on Friday and had this to say about Jones' injury:
It's a tough blow for Max as he made strides last season and was heading in the right direction this year as well. We hope to have him back this year and at full strength
Tough blow indeed as Jones appeared in two games this season and was held off the score sheet. This was supposed to be a big season for the youngster who is still trying to find his legs in the NHL. Last season he recorded 11 points in 46 games and this season was in line for some more ice-time.
The Ducks drafted Jones 24th overall at the 2016 NHL draft. It's likely this fight didn't help prevent the injury:
