Anaheim Ducks Sign Defenseman To PTO
The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a professional tryout contract.
Hutton spent the majority of last season with the Ducks and primarily played bottom-pair minutes. In 34 games, he scored a goal and had four assists. He then would be traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the deadline. In four games with the Leafs, he was held off the scoresheet.UFA Ben Hutton has signed a PTO with the Anaheim #Ducks. https://t.co/dQtkfRiRl8

Due to the organization being familiar with him and the Ducks not having the most depth defensively, Hutton should stand a solid shot of making the team. He will be looking to bounce back if he lands a deal, as he is capable of producing points from the backend. In 65 games with the Los Angeles Kings during the 2019-20 season, he scored four goals and had 16 points.
We will have to wait and see if Hutton gets signed for the season.
