Big Update On Montreal Canadiens Forward Cole Caufield
The Montreal Canadiens have been going through the preseason without one of their key forwards and it sounds like that will be changing very soon. Word is Cole Caufield is ready to go and will appear in some preseason games down the stretch.
Caufield: “Obviously, these games are going to be pretty big to get that timing back and get your legs underneath you. Everyone’s looking forward to the season starting, but we’ve got two pretty important games to get ready for that. We’re going to make the most of it.” #GoHabsGo

The expectations are sky high for Caufield this season as he showed after his call up last year that he's capable of producing some big time numbers for the Canadiens. So much so, fellow rookie and Anaheim Duck Trevor Zegras predicted his buddy was going to score 40 this season.
Last season Caufield managed to produce five points in 10 regular season games and another 12 points in 20 Stanley Cup Playoff games. The Canadiens are hoping for a big season out of the rookie, somewhere near 50 points would be within reason. Now he has a few preseason games to get under his belt and gain some momentum heading into opening night Oct. 13 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
