Blake Wheeler Out For The Winnipeg Jets
The Winnipeg Jets will be without their captain for awhile. Blake Wheeler has tested positive for COVID-19 and is symptomatic. As a result of this, he will have to self-isolate for 10 days until he is medically cleared. The rest of Winnipeg's roster has also tested negative at this time.
It was previously announced Monday that Wheeler had been placed in COVID protocol, but the specifics of his situation were not specified until now.Official update on Blake Wheeler is that he’s tested positive with symptoms.

The rest of the team has tested negative today.
With all of this, Wheeler will be missing a few games for Winnipeg at a minimum. In his two games played this season, he has an assist. In 50 games last season, the 35-year-old winger had 46 points, so yes, he's still a very important player in their forward group.
The Jets currently have an 0-2-0 record, so losing Wheeler now is very rough. They will be taking on the 2-0-0 Wild on Tuesday night in Minnesota.
