Brady Tkachuk To Make Season Debut Against San Jose Sharks
The long wait is finally over. Brady Tkachuk will officially be playing his first game of the season when the Ottawa Senators take on the San Jose Sharks on October 21st.
It was a long off-season for Ottawa fans, as Brady and team were unable to come to terms on a new contract for a long period of time. However, they finally were able to do just that last Thursday. Now, Brady is locked up for seven more years and will make $57.5 million by the end of the deal. With that, he will have an $8.214 million cap hit.
Without Brady in the lineup, the Senators have done just fine, though. They currently are sporting a 2-1-0 record, but now are in even better shape with their star coming back.
When Brady comes back, maybe we will see him with the C. He has been the rumored frontrunner for a long time now. It would be fitting, as Erik Karlsson, their last captain, is of course a member of the Sharks now.
