Colorado Avalanche Release Veteran Forward From PTO
Artem Anisimov has been released by the Colorado Avalanche from his professional tryout contract. The 33-year-old forward will now have to find a home elsewhere.
Anisimov was limited to just 19 games last season with the Ottawa Senators. In them, he produced fairly well, as he scored two goals and had nine points. Therefore, there was some belief that he could have landed himself a league-minimum contract with the Avalanche. However, that has not happened, and his NHL career may be in jeopardy.Avalanche released Artem Anisimov from PTO

If Anisimov elects to go back home to continue his professional career, he can hold his head high. Overall, he's had success in the NHL. In 771 career games with the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks and Senators, he has 180 goals, 196 assists and 376 points. With this, he's had four seasons with at least 20 goals and three seasons with 40+ points.
We will have to see what's next in store for Artem.
