Young Forward Out For The Columbus Blue Jackets

Emil Bemstrom will be out for the Columbus Blue Jackets for quite some time. He is expected to miss the next four-to-six weeks with a left oblique strain.

This is rough news for Bemstrom, as he was aiming to once again have a solidified spot in the Columbus' lineup. He only played in 20 games for the team last season. In them, he scored three goals and had two assists.

However, he did show in the past that he has the potential to be a decent scorer in this league. During the 2019-20 season with the Blue Jackets, he had 10 goals and 20 points in 56 games. Maybe once he is healthy, he can once again produce at a similar rate.

Still, it's hard not to feel for Bemstrom given the situation he's in with Columbus. Here's to hoping he can impress when he returns and land himself cement himself in their bottom-six.
