Flyers' Nicolas Aube-Kubel Fined For Kneeing
NHL Player Safety has fined Philadelphia Flyers forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel $2,678.50 for kneeing Mason Marchment of the Florida Panthers. This comes just one day after they opted not to fine Dallas Stars defenseman Jani Hakanpaa for kneeing Drew Doughty.
While skating across the offensive zone, Aube-Kubel caught Marchment's knee, which led to the latter staying down on the ice. Thankfully, though, Marchment would return to the game shortly after.Philadelphia’s Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been fined $2,687.50, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Kneeing Florida’s Mason Marchment.

Aube-Kubel has cemented himself a spot in Philadephia's bottom-six and is known for playing with a high degree of tenacity. It's ultimately what makes him most effective in this league. He also has provided some decent depth scoring in the process.
