The earliest White will be able to play is February. If it takes the maximum estimated time for him to recover, he will out until April. Either way, he's missing a significant portion of the season, at a minimum.
It's very hard not to feel bad for White. The 24-year-old forward was looking to have a bounce back year this season. In 45 games, he scored 10 goals and recorded 18 points. In his first full season with the club, he had 14 goals and 41 points in 71 games, so the potential to be a solid scorer in this league is there. It's just Ottawa fans now won't be able to see it for some time.
We'd like to send our best wishes to White and hope he has a speedy recovery.
