Maple Leafs Expecting Some Bad News
The Toronto Maple Leafs were not expecting to have this many players on the shelve this early in the season. Goaltender Petr Mrazek is the latest victim of the injury bug and it sounds like he could be out long term.
Mrazek was playing in his first game with the Maple Leafs on Thursday night against the Ottawa Senators and looked to have tweaked his groin while making a save mid-way through the game. Mrazek was replaced by Jack Campbell and did not return. Campbell now gets the keys to the crease as he'll receive the bulk of the work with Mrazek likely headed for the injured list.

The team will call up Michael Hutchinson for tonight's rematch with Ottawa as the two teams kick off their rematch at 7pm in Toronto.
Mrazek joined the Maple Leafs on a three-year deal worth $3.8 million per season. He's battled injuries in the past and only appeared in 12 games in 2020-21.
