Mitch Marner Hurt At Practice

The Toronto Maple Leafs are already starting the regular season without Auston Matthews and Ilya Mikheyev. Now, things may be getting worse. After getting tripped by Wayne Simmonds, Marner fell awkwardly into the boards and then left practice with the trainer.

Here's to hoping this is nothing too serious and Mitch just a little banged up. With Toronto beginning their regular season on October 13th, they certainly need him in their lineup. Like previously stated, they already will be without Matthews for a few games and Mikheyev is out for multiple weeks.

In 55 games last season, Marner scored 20 goals and recorded 67 points. He's been over a point-per-game player these last three seasons, so yes, his importance to Toronto's offense is immensely high.

We will provide an update once more information about his specific injury.
