Multiple Players And Head Coach From San Jose Sharks In Covid Protocol
The San Jose Sharks have placed Andrew Cogliano, Jonathan Dahlen, Noah Gregor, Erik Karlsson, Jake Middleton, Matt Nieto and Radim Simek in COVID protocol. Head coach Bob Boughner also is as well.
That's a hefty total of players that the Sharks will be without. In response to this, the Sharks have called up John Leonard, Jaycob Megna, Nicolas Meloche and brothers Nick Merkley and Ryan Merkley.
The Sharks take on the Winnipeg Jets Saturday evening, so it's easy to understand why they have called up so many players immediately. We have placed seven #SJSharks players and head coach Bob Boughner in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.

This is certainly rough news for the Sharks. At this time, they have a 4-3-0 record and are aiming to continue their strong start. However, losing so many players, most notably Karlsson, definitely does not help with that.
