New Jersey Devils Release Forward From PTO
The New Jersey Devils have released Mark Jankowski from his PTO. The 27-year-old forward will now be looking for a contract elsewhere.
Jankowski signed his PTO with the Devils during the off-season. It seemed possible that he could have made the team's bottom-six, but alas, that simply did not come into fruition.#NJDevils released Mark Jankowski from PTO

In 45 games last season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, he scored four goals and had 11 points. However, he previously had far more success offensively in the NHL. As a member of the Calgary Flames during the 2018-19 season, he scored 14 goals and had 32 points in 79 games. He would follow that up with just seven points in 56 games with the Flames that next season.
It will be interesting to see if another NHL team may be willing to give a contract. Yet, with the regular season being so close, teams already have a good idea of what their opening night rosters will be.
