New List Of Players On Waivers Today

A bunch of NHL players have once again been placed on waivers today. In total, there are 14 players for the taking if teams are looking to add more depth to their rosters.
The biggest name that stands out is Chicago Blackhawks forward Brett Connolly. He has two years left with a $3.5 million AAV, so it is extremely unlikely that a team would claim him. In 31 games last season with the Florida Panthers and Blackhawks, he had just three goals and six points. It was a noticeable decrease in production, as he recorded 19 goals and 14 assists in 69 games the season before with Florida.

As we discussed earlier, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed goaltender Michael Hutchinson on waivers. He did well as a third-string goalie for the team last season. In eight games, he had a 4-2-1 record and .919 SV%.

Teams looking to get tougher also have two interesting players to choose from. The Anaheim Ducks have waived forward Buddy Robinson. The 6'5" 230-pound winger failed to record a point in nine games with the Calgary Flames last season. The Arizona Coyotes also waived Bokondji Imama. The 25-year-old winger scored nine goals and had 14 assists in 31 games last season with the Ontario Reign.

Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see if any of these guys get claimed.
