Dal Colle was originally drafted by the Islanders with the fifth overall selection of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has not blossomed into the top-six forward scouts envisioned him to be. In 26 games last season with the Islanders, he scored a goal and had three assists.
Golyshev was selected by the Islanders with the 95th overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the last eight seasons with Yekaterinburg Automobilist of the KHL. In 53 games last season with the team, he scored 12 goals and had 27 points. Yet, he has contributed more in recent years. For example, during the 2019-20 season, he scored 11 goals and had 25 points in 38 games. He also had a 31-point campaign in 40 games during the 2017-18 season.
Both of these players are expected to play this season with the Bridgeport Islanders, but should get NHL time when injuries inevitably occur.
