New York Rangers Suspending Forward Who Demanded Trade
The New York Rangers have been busy dealing with disgruntled prospect Vitali Kravtsov. Earlier this week Kravtsov was cut from training camp and now he's demanded a trade. The Rangers have announced he is now suspended from the team for not reporting to the AHL.
Friedman on TJMS talking Kravtsov: "From what I've heard this morning there's a lot of teams that have shown interest". #NYR

Kravtsov was a former 9th overall selection of the Rangers and someone who many felt would be a big piece of their future. His work ethic was questioned a ton during camp and it's obvious under new head coach Gerard Gallant, if you're not willing to work hard you're not going to play. Now Kravtsov learned the hard way and his agent will be working the phones trying to find a new home.
Considering he's only 21 and with a boat load of talent, it makes complete sense there's a ton of teams interested. Early favorites include the Anaheim Ducks and Minnesota Wild who have been rumored to be in contact with the Rangers within the past 48 hours.
Tough situation to start the year for the Rangers and let's just say some people are left scratching their heads....
NYR traded Buchnevich to make room for Kravtsov, except no. So now Kreider is moved to RW for the first time in his career at age 30, Goodrow is moved to LW, and the team has 8M in cap space open in a season following mass firings because they wanted to contend sooner.
