New York Rangers Want Vitali Kravtsov to Play Despite Trade Demands

New York Rangers prospect Vitali Kravtsov was cut from the big club at training camp and sent down to the AHL. He's since demanded a trade and the team is trying to stand their ground and get Kravtsov to play for the organization in 2021-22.

Kravtsov wanted a fresh start after not making the NHL out of camp. Last season the former ninth overall draft pick of the Rangers from the 2018 draft appeared in 20 games for New York, recording four points. It wasn't the best start to a career, but there's certainly a ton of potential still untapped.

Apparently, there's been a ton of trade interest in the young forward and this is why the Rangers are trying to make one last ditch effort to get Kravtsov back on their side. As many as 10 teams have made trade offers to this point and that number could certainly increase.

So far a couple of favorites include the Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks who continue to look for young talent up front.
