NHL Investigating Robin Lehner Over Bizarre Comments

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner is as outspoken as they come and we love him for it. This time around though, the NHL didn't love what they heard, as the netminder recently sent out a storm of Tweets accusing the Buffalo Sabres of medical malpractice.

The NHL and Lehner are expected to hold a meeting early this week to get into his comments via social media. These included Lehner suggesting the Sabres give players drugs without a doctor's consent. Lehner spoke about the Sabres but also mentioned he knows 'many' teams that give out such things as sedatives and anxiety pills to players without a prescription. Lehner went as far as to reference Philadelphia Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault in the process. The Flyers quickly denied the allegations.

This isn't the first time Lehner has taken aim. He went on a rant early on in the Jack Eichel saga, stating the Sabres mismanaged his ankle injury and forced him back long before he should have been active. The Golden Knights netminder has certainly taken Eichel's side in the ongoing battle regarding his back surgery. Here's what Lehner had to say in his recent rant:
