Addison had his first taste of NHL action this past season. He played three games with the Wild during the regular season and failed to record a point. He also suited up in three playoff games and had an assist. In 31 games with Iowa, he scored six goals and had 22 points. Therefore, the 21-year-old defenseman has already produced well at the AHL level."We have a plan for these guys."

Like Guerin said in the video above, Beckman left a strong impression with the Wild during the preseason with his high-energy play. He also managed to get on the scoresheet as well. Last season, he spent time in both the WHL and AHL. In 21 games with the Spokane Chiefs, he scored 17 goals and had 27 points. In Iowa, he scored three goals and had five points in nine games.
Lastly, 2020 ninth overall pick Marco Rossi won't be starting the year in Minnesota. That may be for the best, though, as he missed the entirety of last season due to developing myocarditis after a COVID-19 diagnosis. It wouldn't hurt for him to spend some time in Iowa before joining the NHL. In 56 games with the Ottawa 67s during the 2019-20 season, he had 39 goals and 81 assists.
