Ottawa Senators Re-Sign Brady Tkachuk
The Ottawa Senators have re-signed Brady Tkachuk to a seven-year, $57.5 million contract. It will have an AAV of $8.214 million. It also comes with a no-movement clause in its final three years.
Tkachuk was the last remaining RFA on the market and there was concern that he would miss a notable portion of the regular season. However, the two sides have finally reached an agreement and now Tkachuk can finally start playing for them. According to Frank Seravalli, he likely won't be playing in Ottawa's season opener, but will be in attendance.News Release: The #Sens have signed forward @BradyTkachuk71 to a seven-year contract: https://t.co/OowupAvSH2 pic.twitter.com/Ew02IJA5ds

Tkachuk is a very important player for the Senators and now that he's locked up long-term, there's a very good chance that he will be named their next captain. He not only produces well offensively, but also plays a very physical game.Expectation is Brady Tkachuk will NOT play tonight with #Sens in opener but will be in the building. @DFOHockey
