Ottawa Senators Sign Tyler Ennis
The Ottawa Senators are keeping Tyler Ennis around. The 32-year-old forward has signed a one-year, $900,000 contract.
Ennis signed a professional tryout contract with the Senators in September and has impressed the team enough to earn a deal for the season.News Release: The #Sens have signed forward Tyler Ennis to a one-year ($900,000) contract for 2021-22: https://t.co/yscBcjCYII pic.twitter.com/2dcUyb5SQy

In 30 games last season with the Edmonton Oilers, Ennis scored three goals and had nine points. Yet, the season before, he played 61 games with the Senators and produced very well. He went on to score 14 goals and record 33 points before being dealt to the Oilers. In nine games with the Oilers following the move, he scored two goals and had four points.
This is a good depth move for the Senators. Ennis is the perfect kind of veteran to have around, as he's a versatile forward and can be a solid mentor for Ottawa's younger players.
In 643 career games with the Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Senators and Oilers, Ennis has 136 goals, 186 assists and 322 points. We will have to see how much he increases those totals this season.
