Pavel Buchnevich Suspended For Headbutt On Lawson Crouse
NHL Player Safety has suspended St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich two games for his headbutt on Lawson Crouse.
A suspension was easy to predict, as it was announced earlier today that Buchnevich would have a hearing. Due to the fact that he's considered a repeat offender, he also has to pay $141,463.61 of his salary this season.St. Louis’ Pavel Buchnevich has been suspended for two games for Head-butting Arizona’s Lawson Crouse. https://t.co/0PZIpVeX6Y

Earlier this week, Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson threw a headbutt as well, but was only was given a $5,000 fine. Buchnevich being a repeat offender likely was a major reason why he ended up with a suspension instead of the same penalty as Andersson.
At the end of the day, NHL players should simply avoid headbutting opponents. Do you feel that Buchnevich's suspension is fair? Let us know in the comments!
