Pittsburgh Penguins Lose Another Key Forward
The Pittsburgh Penguins have dealt with the injury bug early, as both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin have yet to play this regular season. Now, things are getting even worse, as winger Bryan Rust is now out week-to-week, according to head coach Mike Sullivan. His specific injury has yet to be announced.
Rust has played in two games with the Penguins this season and has a goal. In 56 games this past season with the team, he scored 22 goals and recorded 42 points. This was after a 56-point campaign the previous season in 55 games. Therefore, he's become a key scorer for them.Coach Sullivan on Rust’s status: “He is week-to-week at this point… We'll update you guys on a weekly basis. That's where he's at right now.”

Even without their two best players, the Penguins currently are at the top of the Metropolitan Division with a 2-0-1 record. Obviously it's extremely early in the season, but it's good that they've played well so far. However, the loss of Rust is another notable one. Here's to hoping he can return very soon.
