It was first brought to our attention over the summer that retirement was a serious possibility for Weber as Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin broke the news.
Weber finishes his career playing in 1038 games, scoring 224 goals and recording 365 assists. His career earnings top over $120 million and he will go down as one of the best defensemen of his era. From his booming clapper to his bone-crushing hits, Weber was a beast and an absolute warrior.
Remember the good times, congrats on a wonderful career Shea Weber!
