Report: Vancouver Canucks Shopping Former First-Round Pick
According to Thomas Drance and Rick Dhaliwal, the Vancouver Canucks are currently shopping defenseman Olli Juolevi. If a deal does not come into fruition, the Canucks will likely put him on waivers. If he clears, he would play for Abbotsford.
The Canucks drafted Juolevi with the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. At this point, it may be best for the 23-year-old defenseman to be dealt, as it would give him a chance for a fresh start. Vancouver has too much depth defensively for him to fit into their lineup.Canucks are talking trade with teams about Juolevi.

As of now, no contract talks with Chiasson yet.

Juolevi just finished his rookie season with Vancouver. In 23 games, he scored two goals and had an assist. During the previous season with the Utica Comets, he had two goals and 25 points in 45 games.
We will have to wait and see what happens with him.
