Robin Lehner Pissed Off at NHLPA Over Eichel Saga
Robin Lehner has Jack Eichel's back and he wants him to know. The Vegas Golden Knights netminder spoke out on the ongoing saga between the Buffalo Sabres and the NHLPA and quite frankly isn't happy with what he's seeing out of the PA.
Where is the @nhlpa and all nhl players in all this attacks on our freedom of choice? Jack situation is crazy to me.. also people getting attacked by journalist that hides behind freedom of speech to trash peoples freedom of choice. When does the hypocrisy end? #lifeaftercareer

While there hasn't been an NHL player who has undergone the surgery Eichel is looking for, there's been multiple professional athletes who have done it and succeeded. Players go to outside medical attention for advice all the time, what gives here? Some feel it's Sabres ownership who are playing a hard bargain. The team wants him to repair the ailment with a fusion surgery, while Eichel wants to undergo an artificial disc replacement procedure.
Lehner was Eichel's teammate for three seasons and certainly is showing his support on Twitter, amongst other places:
@nhl is it good to keep a generational player out of the league? His body his choice. Do what’s right. @sabres
